This paper adopts the method of content analysis to survey
research methods applied in preschool education in recent ten years in China, which selects 273 dissertations of masters and doctors in preschool education from Nanjing Normal University, East China Normal University, Beijing Normal University from 1996 to 2006.In this paper, research methods applied in preschool education involve: discrimination method,philology method , qualitative method, quantitative method, action research method and mixed method. Then the paper analyzes research methods applied in preschool education in two aspects. One is frequency distribution, time distribution, distribution in dissertations of masters and doctors, distribution in three Universities and distribution in research fields. The other is implement situation of each research method. Finally , it sums up some relevant discussions from above analysis .
