Communicative intent is one of the important factors of children’s pragmatics. Children aged 3 to 6 were tested in a task situation (the guessing game), and the main results are as follows: The developmental levels of young children’s communicative intents and The abilities of applying effective descriptive and responsive strategies to achieving communicative intents raise with age . In transforming the given communicative intents into their owns, the period of 4 to 5-year-old is crucial. In applying the effective strategies to achieving communicative intents, the period of 5 to 6-year-old is crucial.
